Vaginal Steaming

packages starting at $250 / month

Ancient practice.  Traditional wisdom.  Deep healing.

Peristeam hydrotherapy is a healing practice as old as humankind, though many of us have never even heard of it.  Thankfully, through traditional midwives and practitioners of abdominal massage and pelvic healing modalities it has been preserved and is enjoying a well-deserved revival these days.

Vaginal steaming is simply the practice of using steam from water (water with organic healing herbs in my practice) at the opening of the Yoni.  It serves many purposes and has been revered for its benefits to women postpartum.

Many practitioners (I am one of them) believe that the healing, lifting, cleansing, circulation enhancing action of steam can gently encourage the opening of the cervix, and therefore can not only heal and cleanse the more accessible portions of the vulva and the vaginal canal, but can penetrate up into the uterus, and can even reach the ovaries.

Steaming is a life-affirming, pleasurable and humanizing practice that can be used to help support women through healing trauma, regulating their cycle, resolving myriad gynelogical issues, and assisting in postpartum cleansing and care.

I offer a completely customized approach to steaming with in-home care, personalized organic herbal steam blends and a steam plan unique to your constitution, goals, symptoms and situation.

Vaginal Steaming Postpartum first helps to initiate a full uterine cleanse.  Steaming is non-invasive, but powerfully cleansing, and helps to re-set and tone your vulva, vagina and womb.  Custom, healing herbs in your steam blend help to gently keep tender tissues clean, while bringing circulation and warmth into your reproductive organs, lifting, tightening, and toning.  Steaming is also thought to stimulate the Vagus nerve, which has receptors all along the walls of the uterus.  This may lead to an increased release of oxytocin, and can also help to soothe your highly tuned nervous system and help to restore hormonal balance.  Steaming for thirty days Postpartum is highly recommended, whether you've had a vaginal or a Caesarian birth.  (C-Section Mamas need to wait until six weeks postpartum to begin steaming, but steaming is especially important for you as you're working with scar tissue).

BROTHrive Membership

Rates starting at $100 / week

This offering exists for members of my local community who are engaged in a deeply challenging healing journey.  The membership includes customized bone broth delivery to you or your loved one's home, within 10 miles of the city of Asheville.

I consider a client's health history as well as current issues and symptoms as I formulate a custom bone broth for them.  Bone broths do the work of deeply nourishing the body without taxing the digestive system - freeing up necessary energy to engage in the hard work of healing that needs to be done.  They are rich in trace minerals and certain amino acids (proline, glycine, glutamine) that help to re-structure the gut and enhance assimilation of vital nutrients.

A wonderful supplement to other healing therapies for people with chronic illness, or who are in an acute recovery phase.

Space is extremely limited.

This chicken noodle soup is blowing the clothes off me, it's SO fucking good.  I'm literally naked in my kitchen.  It blew my skirt and jewelry clear across the room.  Holy shit.  So goddam delicious.
